Laguna Starry Night (Extra Large)

While visiting the Museum of Modern Art I saw Van Goghs, “Starry Night”. For artists, its all about the feeling he captured in the masterpiece. This visit inspired me to do a series of starry sea paintings. As I was recently working in my studio in Laguna Beach I imagined these amazing starry night skies blending into the beautiful coastline that surrounds my studio here. Laguna Starry Night features the famous picturesque scene of the Laguna coastline heading south with my historic first Whaling Wall in view. This was painted as a companion piece to Once Upon a Starry Starry Night which is the view from my Laguna Beach studio deck looking north with Main Beach in foreground. This is where I saw my first whale and changed my life forever. These are being released as limited editions on aluminum and will be available in 3 different sizes. For the first time ever I will be using hand applied diamond dust on each piece to give a three dimensional reflection from the ocean’s surface.
